Where The Eagle Soars

Can someone please fly me back to Langkawi?

After months of talking about a beach getaway, it finally happened! It was awesome being able to temporarily leave the chaos that is KL. And even awesome-r that i got to spend time with two friends who sometimes know me better than i do.

Langkawi in its natural wonder.

What is yellow, super cute, floats and doesn't talk? Karen's rubber ducky!

At the beautiful harbour where rich people park their boats. I love Joyce's solo shot because of the little boy kowtow-ing behind her. Uber funny!

6 bottles of Corona, 3 bottles of Vodka soda, 1 bottle of Tequila, 1 bottle of Vodka, a few limes and lemons - when you splurge on alcohol without thinking, you end up with no bottle opener to open the bottles, no knife to cut the lemon/lime, no cup to do shots with. Yes, we are champion alcoholics like that.

Random beach shots that tickle my fancy...

Oh, don't even get me started on the Marine Park. It was so beautiful, you would feel like you've just stepped into a scene of some beach flick. The water was unbelievably clear and there were even sharks and sea-urchins! Definitely a new albeit slightly scary experience to walk into the water and be surrounded by hundreds of fishes. If it wasn't for Karen, snorkelling virgins Joyce and I would have freaked out.

There's just something speacial about swimming in the clear sea while looking down at beautiful corals and marine creatures. Something soothing and relaxing that KL cannot offer. A few minutes when your mind does nothing but just appreciate the beauty of the vast world under our waters. If only i had an underwater camera to show you how pretty everything was!

This holiday is awesome on so many levels.

Karen and Joyce went parasailing and failed their landing miserably. I got bitten by a fish AND a crab on the same day. We went banana boat-ing and received a splashing surprise. Joyce learnt how to swim (well, sort of). When Joyce fell from the banana boat into the sea, she got so panicked she didn't even realise the water is only waist-high.

Also, while on the tour, we met a Ukranian (mind you, he's so hot he looks like Shia LaBeouf!) who would eventually fall victim to one of the stupidest acts i had ever done. EVER.

To express what had happened in writing is almost impossible but let's just say that when hot guys (especially the ones you like) want to start a conversation with you, never cut them off and tell them "I'm sorry, i've got to go. My bus is coming".
Yes Ren and Joyce, i know i "damn potong steam". Geez, i really can't believe i blew it. Three encounters, him making the first move...it could have been so easy! Darn it.

Packing up and bidding farewell to a holiday is a bitch. Period.

The next day, i got grilled for getting much darker than i already am. And that is when i realised the trip is officially over because there is nothing more effective than a nagging parent to send you back to reality...

Hi TH,

Yes, Langkawi is super fun and no, you do not need a passport to gain entry. When you pop over for a holiday, remember to drop by the Marine Park. It's insanely gorgeous!
